since I last blogged. Had a great Christmas & quiet Hogmanay & now back to the old routine, which is good. Next week we have our new Wood Burnin Stove going in, in place of the old gas fire. Except its not that straight forward, half my livingroom wall is having to be bashed down, re-plastered and then decorated. The gas fire just now is not in the same place as the original fireplace so hence all the work. And not just satisfied at the prospect of the upheaval of all that work, we've decided to decorate a smaller room, in between our livingroom & kitchen. Then the bathroom upstairs is getting done. That is a whole different saga, had the builder round yesterday to advise. We have a sunken bath in just now (been there for approx. 30yrs) and we wanted to replace it and put a roll top bath in. Apparently, if we take the bath out then our kitchen ceiling will have to come down too so they can reinforce the joists. Oh joy of joy, didn't budget for that one.
Soooooooooooooooooo, we are replacing like for like. Old sunken bath out, fancy new sunken bath getting ordered. Hopefully that will solve the problem. Keep you posted on that when the bathroom gets started.
